Mercedes 2015 S-Class Coupe: Slogan
"When modern luxury meets an high-end aesthetic"." When
brainstorming to generate ideas, frames might inhibit creative thinking, since
they are based on common expectations derived from shared experience. " During
brainstorming, once you identify a frame, a change of frame can be very useful.

Analysis of Project in the Real World
I think its very difficult display a car in the real world for an experiment. Besides a billboard, commercial, or even a magazine article I couldn't think of anything that the public would interact with. "By allowing the problem to percolate in the back
of your mind, your subconscious may do the job for you." Page 74 (Advertising by

as I said before I would send out many specials or send out emails to costumers to come to the dealership and look or try out the car for themselves. I believe the more a company wants their costumers to come the more will. Making them feel wanted i believe will sell more cars or keep them coming back. "Often, to take a break, designers turn to other arts that engage their conscious minds, stimulate emotional responses, and encourage the subconscious. " Page 74 (Advertising by Design: Generating and designing creative ideas across media.)

Creative Content
·
“Creative thinkers have an advantage—they have nimble, flexible minds, able to solve problems in ways most cannot. You will notice that “creative” is coupled with “thinkers.” For creativity to be useful, it must be coupled with intellect, not to mention perseverance.” Page 33 (Advertising by Design: Generating and designing creative ideas across media.) For my creative i created a street billboard. I chose the word "street billboard" because I wanted the billboard to look like it was torn from a magazine article of some sort. Make it seem like whoever tore it off was so excited about the product that they wanted everyone to see it right away. "Most people don't bother to read body copy. People who are engaged by the line and visual may go on to the body copy. Page 102 (Advertising by Design: Generating and designing creative ideas across media). Making people think that it can just be a normal car for an average adult not just a top of the line Mercedes. I chose high end because its the most technology advanced, and the sleek design is simple but striking. "Though your concept or idea may be broad, it is foundational. Essentially, the idea drives your design decisions—how you create, why you select imagery and typefaces or lettering, and the reasoning behind your color palette selection. Promotion
· That type of commentary points to the advantage
of seeing a product, service, or group “from the user's point of view,” and
that can lead to an insight into the advantages a brand (or a group) has over
other brands (or groups)". Page 70 (Advertising by Design: Generating and

Making the best experience into purchasing the car; so when they walk in it doesn't even feel like their going in to purchase the car. In other words make them feel 100% wanted when they step foot into the dealership. This is the exact reason why i chose to keep the creative content as simple as possible. To show off the car to make the consumer visualize that they could afford the car that is the top of the line. "Visual metaphors can invite the reader to work a
little bit, to interact with the ad; the reader is engaged by thinking. If the
visual metaphor is interesting, on strategy, and accessible (but not clichéd),
the reader is more likely to notice the ad, be engaged, and interact." Page 81

Also maybe a commercial showing off the new car models, colors, accessories, and dropped prices. I believe that having specials like those will keep the consumer more engaged in the car dealership, it shows that we care as a car company to give back to the people who support.
The Big Idea
· The idea sets the framework for all your design
decisions. An ad idea is visually and verbally expressed through the creation,
selection, combination, manipulation, and arrangement of visual and verbal
elements and the written copy." Page 68 (Advertising by Design: Generating
and designing creative ideas across media.) My idea is to show off the car by its aesthetic first, than looking into all the features and technology that is put into the car to make it the best of the 2015 line. The media I chose was Photoshop because I wanted to keep the concept simple because it shows off the car by itself and attracts the consumer to want to know more about it. But just by looks alone the car will be able to sell. The 2015 model is the best of the best when it comes to safety features and the design. I put the slogan at the top of the car is fairly small text because I want to viewer to just look at the car and nothing else. Also i chose a picture to look more modern, so the modern looking house in the background helps the viewer into a different mindset. It should make the consumer feel more high end when he/she steps into the car for the first time.
Competitive Analysis
Who needs a sports car nowadays? I thought the United States of America was all about being comfortable in everything? In that case everyone should choose the Mercedes Benz car company over BMW. A sports car is for driving fast through regulated speed zones asking for a ticket to happen; while a sleek Mercedes cruses by in the most luxurious car. Keep your family safe with the state of the art technology like the PRE-SAFE Brake with Pedestrian Recognition, PRE-SAFE rear-end collision protection, and Active Lane Assistance just to name a few. "The context of your
family, culture, community, values, friends, aspirations, basic drives,
cognitive abilities, defenses, habits, all factor into why you would respond to
advertising, donate to a specific charity, purchase one detergent over another,
and so on." Page 70 (Advertising by Design: Generating and designing

Everything has a purpose so why not have a car that looks good, comfortable, state of the art technology, and keeps your family safe while driving? I'll let you decide.
